Fragility
I just wanted to share with you all that today is a sad day for my family. We have learnt that cousin, not too much older than I, has lost her battle. Primary was Breast cancer but in time her body rebelled; the duodenum was where it was detected.
She is now at peace. Just a reminder how fragile we all are. Today is a reminder for me to take stock around me, be thankful that mine is under control and not to become distressed (scanxiety) over the constant tests. My next round is 30 June.
Take care all xx

Please take care everyone - socodaMemberHello lovely Christine @iserbrown, so sorry for your loss. I'm sure that your friend Danielle would be greatful for you having taken the time to acknowledge her friendship and the battle she fought. Sending you a gentle hug. Xx
- Brenda5MemberCondolences to all. It just seems like some sorts of cancers have a one stop agenda to kill the host and there is no pulling it up. I certainly hope this trend is in the minority and not on the rise. It is so easy for me to dismiss what I had as 'just' a lump i got off and treated like a cyst or something but I must admit to myself it was a lot more.
- wendy_h67MemberIt is very sad and it is times like these that we realize that we do not know what the future holds for any of us. We can only make the most of each day and give thoes we love a special hug.
- HITMemberSo sorry to hear about both your losses , I wish for strength for all those involved.
But saying that we have got to remember that the majority of us will survive this crap, and the numbers are rising with all the research that is happening. Hopefully all the cancers will soon be just a manageable disease or better yet curable!! - Giovanna_BCNAMemberHello @iserborwn, @melclarity,
