What the ?
For the last 5 to 6 weeks I have been experiencing back pain, in my neck, beneath my shoulder blades, and in my low er back. Had 2 appointments this week, the discharge appointment with my rads oncologist, and then my medical oncologist. This pain is worse in my neck, and it wakes me at 3am, then Im on the couch with nurofen and tiger balm being my friends.
My rads oncologist said that I should have a bone scan next week and that he would ring me next Friday, giving me a cuddle. What the....... Then came the medical oncologist appointment, who agreed with my rads doctor, he ordered some blood tests, and said that he will ring me on Thursday.
You know me, miss sunny and miss motivation. What the.....? I had a little cry in the last appointment, as my wonderful hubby stated how tough I was, and when I did cry, he said Trace is a positive one, she'll get on with it, then..... I didn't know it worried you so much.... What the.....?
So..... now where I thought it was side effects from Arimidex it could be something else is very scary until I know the results. My medical oncologist said that there are a number of options available in treatment if it is a recurrence. He was so kind and had picked up that I was concerned.
Holy ######## What the.......... Here I am, poking along, getting ready for an art exhibition and this has been a week that has taken my breath away. I don't normally vent, so thanks for being there.

Thanks Melinda, melclarity said:@"Tracey B" thats insane!!! Im actually surprised theyre going down that path too, so I get you being shocked! Im exactly like you, have Osteoporosis in my lower back and neck as of last year all purely chemo related!!!! I suffer the same pains you do, but they come and go, but got better off Arimidex, have you tried 6 weeks off Arimidex? did the Onc suggest that? Please let us all know asap how you go. Biggest Hugs to you sweet! Melinda xo
My Onc wants to keep me on the Arimidex until he gets the scan results. I guess it will work itself out in the end, I just keep processing the conversations, and know that I'm in good hands. Just waiting is the hard part. Have been doing some resume writing and some painting to keep me busy, and tomorrow will be going on a travelling excursion for the tourist centre that I volunteer with, just keeping busy.
hugs received gratefully, and sending them to you also xxxx - melclarityMember@"Tracey B" thats insane!!! Im actually surprised theyre going down that path too, so I get you being shocked! That's so right, the people on this site are all so awesome! Thanks to you and all the dear hearts here. Today I drove to my screaming place... I yelled and screamed and cried my shit out where nobody else could hear me. That helped, however it is good to come here and talk to people who understand. xxxxbrightspace said:Hi Tracie ....yes lots of times we show we are tough as garters guts!!
