Restless Legs - driving me nuts!

I know in the scheme of things this is not a biggy but since I had my mastectomy on December 18 I have had what they call 'restless legs' when I go to bed and it keeps me awake for hours.  Just when I think I can nod off to sleep it starts up again.  So lack of sleep is becoming a bit of a problem.!  I have never had this problem before so I am assumming it is related to my surgery .......Is there anyone out there who has had this problem and what solutions have you found?

  • I do walk everyday Robyn and dont drink tea and coffee or any caffiene so I shudder to think how much worse would it be if I did!!  I just went to the chemist and she shook her head in sympathy but no solution there. Back to the drawing board.....I will let you know if I find something to help.

  • Hi Tannie, exercise in moderation significantly reduces the symptons of restless legs.Try some lower body exercise during the day such as walking stairs, resistance with bands,or just a good long walk.Stop caffeine if you can .It might seem like a small thing, but it can drive you crazy!! Have had this many times in the past, but not for many months now.Cheers Robynxox
