Nerve Pain = Lyrica

Hi Ladies, I had a part mastectomy on the 15th November and 3 weeks later had a very sore breast and red patch, turns out it was a build up of fluid, they drained it out via ultrasound and aspiration ... My biggest problem I have had is nerve pain, like hot wiring a car, zzzzt zzzt in my breast .... my surgeon suggested Lyrica once I explained the exact pain and feeling. I am about to be discharged from a 3 day stay in hospital on IV then swapped to oral antibiotics. The hot wiring pain in my breast has absolutely been subdued by the Lyrica and panadol ... So just a little bit of info for anyone else experiencing the same problem.
  • @"Soldier Crab" Oh wow Thanks!!! I have some clear quartz! Any tips on how NOT to end up sick from the Anaesthetic?? I vomited 12hrs straight last year, mostly due to I was over dosed and they mixed a few drugs which I know I NEVER cope with. The Surgeon LOST IT! I had my trouble from the Anaesthetic than I did the surgery!!! Thanks Heaps!!! Im into alternative and Holistic Healing. I havent so much the crystals, so this will be great. Im actually a Reiki Master haha! that insight in itself helps enormously. Hugs Melinda xo

  • HI @melclarity
I just want to share I am allergic to lots of meds.... my kinesiologist suggested Clear Crystal quartz to help with Nerve pain, I had thin slices of quartz taped to my chest wall ... it got rid of the pain and I then relaxed more to allow healing.
  • @DMaree OMG soooo sucky!!! Lyrica is actually used for people who suffer Fibromyalgia. Last year when I had another lumpectomy they overdosed me on Morphine and Lyrica combined, I was vomiting for 12hrs straight, my Surgeon ripped through the Staff, it was awful! Im yet to find something I can use. I hope i can before surgery YIKES!!!! best I can manage is panadol osteo together with nurofen, takes the edge off thats about it. x
  • @melclarity That's sucky !! I hope it all goes well for you x x
@ne It Is Definitely Making A Difference !
  • Uuuugh! I can't take Lyrica it literally makes me ill, in fact all painkillers do! Ive had 2 major lumpectomies in 5yrs and recall vividly the nerve pain which takes months to slow down, its just time. Dreading my mastectomy early next year!!!! DREADING IT!!!! in terms of pain relief!! Melinda xo
  • I am a big fan of Lyrica as I had a lot of nerve pain and Lyrica was all that helped.
