- Julez1958MemberHi @123439
I was previously on letrazole and got joint pain and trigger thumb but no impact on my sleep.
I have always been a good sleeper and have followed some rules to help:
1. No coffee after 11am ( never kept me awake until I went through menopause).
2. Get plenty of fresh air and exercise.
3. Don’t have any electronic devices in the bedroom.
4. Try and go to bed at roughly the same time every night.
Of course medication can cause a change - worth discussing with your GP and medical team.
On a side note - I recently had a session of reflexology given to me as a freebie and I actually fell asleep on the table!
All the best. - AfraserMemberThat’s bad luck, sleep’s important. I was on Letrozole for ten years, not a good sleeper but then I wasn’t before I started. Haven’t improved since I stopped either so the best I can say for it sleep wise is that it made no difference!
- 123439MemberI would definitely try cannabis oil if this continues. It should have a relaxant in it to take at night .I took melatonin last night and I slept a few hours at least.
- arpieMemberHi @123439 - SO sorry to see you here, but feel free to tell us a bit more of your story so far .....
Sadly, Letrozole can definitely affect your sleep (as do some of the other AIs) but not everyone gets the same side effects. How long have you been on it? Sleep deprivation is debilitating!
I ended up trying Medicinal Cannabis Oil at night - and it has helped to both 'take the edge' off the aches & pains & also assist with sleep. My Onc has given me a letter saying why I am on it, in case I am pulled over for a roadside test .... so definitely worth a try. Or you can check with your GP/Onc re what they may suggest?
take care
