Last AC Infusion

Hi
  • Hi Niki.  Make sure that your onc knows all about your reactions - he/she should be able to prescribe better medication to get you through (did you have similar reactions to the first 2?).  Taxol is not as vicious.  I've just finished the 4AC/12T combination.  The thing I would say about taxol is that it is cumulative and you don't get the 2 weeks off to recover so by the end, it's enough.  Actually, the other thing I would say about it is that on different weeks, different symptoms would be preeminent - so one week, nausea and fatigue got me down, and the next week it would be the aches.  But I never got the full-on whammy of the first week of AC.

my 3rd AC was 9 days ago, my last one is 5 five days away*
  • My last AC was nine days ago. For the first 2 days I was so dizzy and gagging constantly. If I even sipped water I would vomit. If I slept I would have horrific nighmare/hallucinations with me being sucked into tunnels of spinning cherry red iv tubes and needles. Headaches, constipation, nausea, dizziness and preemptive vomiting continue. Only 5 days till last AC, keep bursting into tears and having panic attacks and feeling like I just can’t do it again. Please will someone tell me that the ‘T’ (taxol) is different/ easier. Bawling eyes out again
