The clinic at a major public hospital that I attend for my annual scan (also in June) does mammograms and ultrasounds as a routine check,  but not MRI's.

I am up for post BC scan number 2 this June. I have resolved that if the scans show nothing I have a reprieve for a furthur 12 months. 

Hi @kitkatb. No MRI, no ultrasound. A very firm manual examination only. They don't scan you unless there's a reason to. It worries me of course, but that's the system.

No g&t! Though I sorely wanted one I can tell you. I'm off the booze. The medicos say the only really safe level is none. You have to live, so I'm reserving it for high days and holidays. That's balance, yeah?! Also trying to lose weight to reduce that risk factor as well. So many delicious empty calories in booze...

I'm sorry that your mum went through that. My sister's went to her brain as well. She was told it was very unusual. Her BC was very aggressive.

Great news @kmakm   A big worry out of the way.  Can I just ask you whether you just had the ultrasound or did you get an MRI as well.  I know I am booked for June this year which will be the one year date between my first and second surgery last year.  I know it was mentioned ultrasound and mammogram for remaining boob, but nothing re having MRI for whole body from head to torso or is this something we have to chase up ourselves. My mother had secondary brain cancer years after having a radical mx so always a worry in the back of my mind.    Hope you enjoyed a well deserved G&T when you got home. This BC just sucks the life out of us.  xo
