Eyebrow makeup

I just looked at that site its fantastic and there is a salon near to me that stocks it.

i also tried every eyebrow pencil i could find...THEN.... a friend put me on to a product called TK's eyebrow extender....its amazing....no one ever believes me when i say i have lost my eyebrows!!!!! Have a look on line....

I am 8 months post chemo and my eyebrows are almost none existant. I have tried pencil but it looks too stark, I bought an online eyebrown kit of wax and brush on colour but thats too dark too.

My issues is I am very fair and what eyebrows I have come back white!

I've tried dye etc it all makes me look like I am all eyebrow.

My eyelashes look ages to come back too, they are fully back now but for months and months I was sporting 2 eyelashes on my right eye none on my left, I looked so funny.

Thank Janey.....you are so sweet....I so get the chemo brain thing....am going to investigate your website suggestions tomorrow and also Petas Lipcote idea! I had 3 Fec and 12 Taxol.... My eyebrows and lashes were intact till about taxol 6 and have slowly disappeared since then....it's weird....my hair started growing back and at the same time as that happened I lost my lashes! From what I hear....that's pretty normal....as is everything that happens on this journey....it's all normal....just not easy. Will keep in touch x

Thanks Peta, that sounds very clever and I will give it a go! I think my mum still uses Lipcote! It's been around for years! Genius idea....will keep u posted ......thank you so so much x

19 months. I feel pretty luck that mine are back after 6! Thin as they are.

My eyebrows are still quite thin but they started growing back even before I finished my last chemo round. I had 4 AC and 3 Docetaxel with Herceptin. Still going in every three weeks for Herceptin and I was told that your hair grow could be slow with that so hoping the brows will grow in more when I finish. Then I can shape them properly. My eyelashes took longer to come back. They are just getting long enough now, 6 months after finishing chemo, for me to really notice them and out mascara on them again. I was just using eyeliner until now. I'd say they started growing again, all-be-it slowly, a month or two after chemo. I tried to find my sealer as I would send it to you but I can't find where I've out it. Still have chemo brain lingering a think. Might have another look tomorrow. If I find it I'll let you know. Thanks for the tip about Lipcote, PetaM. I will be down at Priceline tomorrow to see if I can get a bottle. I am 19 months post chemo & still lack eyebrows. I do not think that mine will return. It is a weird look if I don't draw them on and am very careful that I don't accidentally rub them off during the day. JXL63 P/S: I do wonder if there are ladies in this group who might have had their brows tattooed, how was the experience and if happy with the result.

I understand your angst as I have no eyelashes and only a few stray eyebrow hairs hanging in there - not a great look au naturale!

I seal my pencilled 'fauxbrows' with a product called Lipcote. I bought a bottle a couple of months back from my local Priceline (it's likely to be stocked nationally by Priceline). I gleaned this tip from a British chemo make-up site. It's like a bottle of clear nail polish, with brush. It dries invisible - no tell-tale sheen. I can't remember the price but it was inexpensive.

While I haven't worn it swimming, I can vouch for the fact that it stays put through a long hot shower with the water running over my face, so I suspect it will be ideal for you - just remember to pat your face lightly with the towel so you don't wipe it off!

I wear a wig with a fringe that brushes directly across my 'eyebrows'. When I'm too rushed to bother applying Lipcote, I find my brows are half-erased by the end of the day. They stay in pretty good shape all day if I've applied Lipcote.

You may need to ask the sales assistant to help you find it. I don't think they sell a lot of it as the sweet young assistant at my local store said it was an old-fashioned product!
