So sorry to see you joining us here proggma - but you are in the right place to ask any question of us ... and we'll do our best to help you out as we've 'been there, done that' xx I hope you're going OK with your chemo, without too many side effects xx
I'd suggest that you join both the Reconstruction group(Group: Choosing breast reconstruction | BCNA Online Network) and the Triple Positive group (Group: Triple Positive Breast Cancer (TPBC) | BCNA Online Network) so you can discuss some issues in private .... and you can still post on the 'open forum' too.
Is your surgeon aware that your bedrooms are upstairs & that you have young children? Have you been assigned a Breast Care Nurse? I would raise that question with both of them asap ... maybe even your chemo nurses, too, as they may be able to point you to the Occupational Therapist or the correct person that will be able to line up the rehab stay for you. It makes really good sense to do that - so you can rest up, recover that little bit more & have the family visit you at rehab, with your youngest 'learning' not to jump on you just yet xx ....
You might also like to check out this post that has a lot of info in it about the forum in general & some tips on what to take to hospital with you (like button up nighties, not 'over the head' ones ... for ease of getting in & out of) and lot of other valuable info. We even have some 'funny bits' if you need a laugh xx
