First appointment with a surgeon
So my first appointment with a surgeon is this coming Wednesday. I am going through a public system in Brisbane. Will I be having any tests done on the same day or is it more likely that he will tell...

As it is my first Surgeon's appointment this Wednesday, I am interested to know what other tests you were required to have carried out prior to surgery?

Hello, I did meet my surgeon the other week. He sent me for another lymph node biopsy ( the opposite arm, the previous biopsy didn’t have enough diagnostic material) which is scheduled for this coming Tuesday. He did the genetic blood test straight away on the day. And he wants me to do breast mri to double check my right breast. This is cycle dependent so I am still waiting for the date!!! It feels crazy to be waiting so long but he said he wants to be well informed before he does the operation which will be either left side mastectomy or bilateral ( if genetic test or mri shows something). I think my surgery will be probably at the beginning of November.
