I asked about the mepitel as well. Was told that it was used on full mastectomy clients, and that there would be no gain for me.
I had no issues with Radiation except the usual heat, redness and slight peeling. That’s where Bepanthen came into good use. The nurse will show you how she wants it applied, ( like covering your area in a thick paste applied with a hygienic stick) don’t skimp on it, and they will provide you with padded dressing to go over top to help it absorb into skin and not rub of on your clothes.
My skin stayed in tact with no issue or infections.
Any issue always seek advice from the nurse.
