No-one offered Mepitel but I had read here of other women using it so I asked. The response was "we don't use it unless someone wants it" (begs the question of who would know about it to ask). They put it on before treatment every Monday, patching it during the week if necessary, and I took it off after treatment each Friday. One time, I hadn't noticed that there was a 1mm gap for a day or two - that left a dark tan line so I do believe that the film helped save my skin.
