I forgot to mention that I went to the nurses' station after rad treatments if I had any concerns. I was given pads to stop the nipple chafing. Nurse also applied a thick medicated ointment to the nipple once. It was probably cortisone. She also advised me to buy a very mild cortisone cream for the itchy area on upper chest. I did, and it's useful to stop me scratching. I had 16 treatments. When we had that very hot weather I had stone cold showers or dunked myself in the sea to cool down the breast. Even now the treated breast feels warmer than the other one. Best wishes. :)
