side effects - taste buds

I had my last chemo in early March and they are about 95% back, some things still don't taste right. Hope yours pick up soon,

Thankyou for your input, this gives me hope that eventually they will return.  I've just been on holidays & everytime we ate out I got my husband to taste my food so I could know if what I was eating was delicious.

I had 16 rounds of chemo, 4 of AC and 12 of Taxol.  I lost my taste buds and smell when I had 4 treatments to go and that was in January.  I am slowly getting some taste and smell back but considering I am 5 1/2 months post chemo I really can't say how long it will take.  Everyone keeps telling me that mine will come back but I am starting to doubt it.  Sometimes the smells of certain things (petrol, onion cooking etc), nearly make me sick they smell so bad.  I hope your taste comes back soon because it is so frustrating not been able to enjoy your food!
