Hahaha @JoeyLiz .... trust me .... I don’t have “large pendulous breasts” !!  I was totally surprised when they said I could use the Prone position!  I guess they may have ‘drooped’ a bit .... but not THAT much!  I am normally a 34!

But my lesions WERE towards the pointy end, I guess!  ;) 

Bummer about the chemo, @Trikki2 ... with a bit of luck, you’ll be the one without side effects!  Good luck ..... definitely chat with the help line for a one on one chat. Xxx

@arpie the prone position is great for “large pendulous breasts” as it removes ribs and lung from field as breast tissue  as breast tissue falls away like a tear drop and also reduces skin reaction in your inferior mammory fold under your breast, although cannot be used if supraclav is being treated :)

I believe this to be correct, @Trikki2   ..... I never considered myself to be 'bigger breasted' (about size 34/14) ... I lay down on my chest for my rads, with boob hanging down thru a gap, which reduced rib exposure.  Heart & lung were not mentioned as being a risk factor as this normally relates to the left side.   I fully understand how heart & lungs could be an issue if lying on your back for the radiation - tho as mentioned earlier - holding their breath (as the actual ray treatment isn't all that long) for the treatment.
