Radiation .... Still Gifting ?

Afternoon Ladies, hope today finds you all as well as can be and doing something enjoyable on this lovely autumn day .  I have a question for anyone who has had a lumpectomy followed by radiation with no chemo involved ........ I was rushed to ED last week with a suspected stroke which turned out to be a Hemiplegic Migraine .... It was all ever so scary as I have never had even an ordinary migraine in my life and could possibly every little headache I have ever had on two hands ...... Has anyone else suffered anything like this more than 6 months post rads ?? I am stressed to the max about it... So frightened I will have more..... There is not really any rhyme or reason to it...  Was just calmly sitting watching TV ( being lazy in truth) when it hit me , I don't take any meds other than my sleepers which I have taken for yonks , am still getting an awful lot of  ' take my breath away and double me up ' breast pain but other than that I have been going ok.....  Thank you for reading and any feedback would be greatly appreciated. Hug ((())) to all ????

  • Thank's Kath, I know you are right, my anxiety makes me jump to conclusions about everything, I didn't get much time to research radiation before treatment , took me ages to really believe it was even happening to me , but now I am more educated about it I really worry about what I have pumped in to my body , I would still do it all again , of course I would , BC sort of takes options away ... Maybe all of us worry about each pain or twinge ?? Just get so anxious about things ... Hospital gave me MRI's  CT's and MRA , all good and clear , no stroke or other nasty things ???? ..... I don't know ? Maybe I am looking for answers that aren't even there , have been known to do that ??  You have a lovely restful weekend . Kathy

  • Even without BC or radiation propke can just rsndomly get a migraine. Very scary when you've  never had them before, but it does happen.  I'm  sure they thoroughly checked you out though to outrule any other cause. As to whether you get anymore it isn't  possible to know yet. Fingers crossed you don't.  Take care. Kath x
