Photos, my hair calendar - Month by month, 10 months post chemo
I remember visiting this site during the whole hair loss stage looking for photo stories about hair and often wondered how long my hair would take to grow back. I have created a collage with photos starting from when last chemo finished until today (exactly 10 months on) showing how my hair has grown month by month.
I just have to add, I was blessed with the chemo curl phenomenon so don' be disheartened if it doesn't look as long as it should after 10 months because the curls are really tight and my hair are basically double the length when wet. So with the curls they look fairly short but I have heaps of it! I would say roughly 10 cm's when pulled out straight and I have had one style cut (mostly just the back of my neck as it was getting to hot and thick). I have trimmed off only the ends of the top bit.

Lol this made me giggle. Thank you for the compliments. I hope mine stays thick as i used to have very fine hair.
Love those photos! You look stunning!!! You've given me the inspiration to do the same when I'm finished chemo. Can't wait to see if my mousy, fine hair comes back thicker.
Fabulous. Funny you should post that as I have been wondering how long it will take my hair to grow. 6 months post chemo and mine has come back a little grey and very curly. Have not a clue what to do with it as I was used to straight hair. One bonus is that it is very thick. Just wondering whether to have a bit of a trim especially the top part!

Wow Ne I love the photos you look fantastic. I am due my 3rd cycle of chemo on Tuesday & my hair was grey at the front & brunette at the back before I started. I hope mine comes back black & curly like yours.

Each photo is so completely different. You could say you had 6 sisters pics or something and I wouldn't know. Hair looks lovely now.

what fabulous photos! Such a pretty face. I hated that in between stage as my hair grew back as mine was dark, straight and stood straight up. I looked like a chimpanzee baby lol. Now 18 months after finishing chemo I have glorious curly locks past my shoulders. My hair also grew back datker but it also grew more luxurious and thicker than before. I just love it! Wish I had the forethought to do what you have done. karen xox
Man you are so photogenic. you look stunning in every shot. I had chemo curls also, although not quite as tight as yours. You wouldn't know it now 5 years on and not a curl in sight.
