Painful pedicure

I am on femara and about a week into radiotherapy. I am currently having a pedicure and everything the pedicure starts is doing, hurts! I am pretty sure that radiotherapy wouldn’t cause sensitivity of my feet and legs- mostly the skin, but does letrozole? I’ve never had a more uncomfortable pedicure in my life...I don’t think it’s the pedicurist. Everything is too hot, too hard, to painful.

  • I’ve been on letrozole for almost six years and have had hot wax pedicures quite often (I have peripheral neuropathy and find both the hot wax and the actual pedicure very relaxing). I have never experienced this problem but sensitivities can be pretty unpredictable. It may be a temporary thing as your body adjusts - presumably no problem with fingers? Perhaps try again in four or five weeks and see if things have changed. If pain persists however, best to discuss with your oncologist. Best wishes.
