Pagets disease vs psoriasis

Hello all. I'm back! Just out of hospital after having a nipple biopsy. Last year I had a small invasive tumour removed, followed by radiation therapy and luckily got the all clear. About 6 weeks ago I noticed scaly tender skin on my left nipple (same side as cancer). Mammograms and ultrasounds all clear (yay!) but GP referred me back to breast surgeon who said we had to rule out Paget's disease. I now have to wait a week for the results ... It's the waiting that sucks! As you all know.... However, she did say it could be psoriasis brought on by a weakened immune system due to radiation therapy. Has anyone out there experienced this? How did you treat it? (You can see I'm being upbeat and willing away Paget's) Thanks for your help Jo x
  • Thank you Michelle.  I will definitely update once I have something concrete.  I have two different appts next week so I am waiting to getsome answers from that.

    Hope you are well.

  • Have been thinking of you and hoping all was okay.  Please let us know what the new path is - and yes, the waiting is the hardest part of all.  Keeping everything crossed for you.  Michelle xxxx

  • Yep, I am with you.  It sure does keep on giving.

I am being taken down a different path now for treatment I think after seeing a private surgeon.

As soon as I have more concrete information and a plan of action (treatment) I will definitely be updating everyone on here.  I just need to get my facts straight first.

The waiting waiting waiting kills you that is for sure.

I have found now that I have to be really very proactive with regards to following up on reports, appointments and just trying to get answers from the medical team but I am getting there.

You take care and I have everything crossed and am doin that penguin walk for you sweety.

Luv today tomorrow and always, Mich xoxoxo
