Paclitaxel

I had terrible pain until last 2 rounds where it suddenly stopped. No explanation for that! I believe ibuprofen ir celebrex may be good...I was allergic to this so I took Oanadol Osteo and tramadol with some relief. Exercise made it much worse in those 48 hours. Hope it goes soon. Kath x

No taste buds are easier to deal with than the bone pain so i am just looking forward to being able to walk and sleep without pain

No I'm sorry to say I don't think that will happen for you until chemo is over. I'm 5 weeks past my last session and am finding the last couple of weeks that I've started to enjoy things a lot more, though I am still just interested in pretty plain food. I don't know about you but I also had other side effects like skin peeling off my fingers and if its any comfort my skin seems to be feeling more like it belongs to me than an 80 yr old lady (sorry 80 year olds).

Yes i think my reflux is also easing but not the lack of taste buds 

I really hope so. It's pretty nasty. My only saving was the reflux was nothing compared to FEC.

I hope it is only 48 hrs because that would mean i am nearly through it. Fingers crossed...

For me the pain lasted 48 hours I'm sorry to say. I hope you'll be ok.

Today is day 3 after 1st round of paclitaxel. Yesterday the bone pain started and it is intense. I am taking as much pain killers as i can but not sure if it is making any difference. I can barely walk. Does anyone have any other suggestions on easing the pain? How long is this expected to last?

I had 4 AC &  have just had 9 of 12 paclitaxel. The oncologist is now saying that 9 should  be enough for me as I started with an allergic reaction to the hands from infusion 5 which is not getting any better. I will admit the taxol was more tolerable than the AC which caused me to have colitis.

Luckily for me i only have 4 rounds of taxol
