@kmakm I did look up the cost of an infusion (item number 13918 in Medicare benefits Schedule) and the fee is 97.95 for an infusion so I think the cost of chemo to the government for a patient is probably not that much (but I'm just basing this on looking up medicare items and could be wrong) so my approach is going to be from the physical, emotional, mental and financial cost to the patient and family (paying daycare with no income for example - which could end up costing the government more too).
