New Support Group for South Brisbane

I am looking for expressions of interest from ladies interested in joining a support goup in the Bulimba area of Brisbane.  My special interest is triple negative breast cancer, however I think a group is needed in this area that is open to anyone who has come into contact with breast cancer.  At the moment I am just thinking of a regular get together over a cuppa and a chance to chat about our experiences.  If you are interested can you please let me know?  I cannot register a group with BCNA until I can say where and when we will meet along with some other details, so before i do anything more I need to know if there are some ladies out there who might like to come along!

I have just had my last radiation treatment last night (yes Valentines day!) and I would really love to be able to talk to other ladies who have gone through something similar.  Hope to hear from you!

Jenny.

  • Hello Jenny,

I was recently diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer. I would like to join your support group. Only I may not be able to attend every session.

    Cheers,

  • Hi Kate,

You are the second lady to reply, so we are now a group of three!  I will wait a bit longer and see if we have any more takers, then I thought it might be nice to just get together over a coffee sometime.  I am at work at the moment, I will get back to you in the next few days and see what we can organise.  Thanks Kate!

  • Hi Jenny, I live at Camp Hill and am interested in a support group. I was diagnosed in April last year and have been on the surgery/chemotherapy/ radiation roller coaster. I finished radiation in November last year and am now on Tamoxifen. I look forward to hearing from you! Kate

  • Hi Sue!  Thanks so much for getting back to me.  Hopefully there are some other ladies out there interested too, and we can actually form a 'group', but even if it's just you and me I would love to get together sometime for coffee and a chat.  I imagine you are doing it pretty tough right now, in the middle of chemo, I have been there!  Let me know when you feel well enough to do something.  I will let you know how I go and if I get any other replies, but in the meantime am happy to chat with you.  Good luck with your new chemo, I hope it goes well for you. xx
