Nearly finished radiation

Comming to a end of radiation have roughly 9 rounds to go the end is near have experienced a burn on chest near neck which is getting dressed every day but it's painfull yet see my oncoligist on the 10th dec thank goodness I'll be back to redcliffe never again at royal brissy for herceptin 5.5 hrs wait I waited for my appointment their reason people with longer chemo are going first so that was my annoyance hope every lady here are doing well

    Thanks for the tips I have dressing to do for the weekend so far it hasn't broken skin so not painfull yet but I'm sure it will be soon

    I to had severe burns dressings 3 x a day lucky I worked with nurses and they did them for me, the hospital gave me a net dressing , lathers of solugel and then large sheets of padding it was an ordeal . Panadol regularly. Funny it went away fairly quickly and you wouldn't have even known. I hope yours heals quickly. Regards adean

    I didn't have radiation,but it sounds so painful having a burn like that.Goodness 5.5 hours is a long time to wait.The end is in sight so hang in there.Take care and stay in touch.Cheers Robyn xox

    Oh dear,that burn sounds painful.Hope you have some heavy duty painkillers.Although my skin didn't break down,my boob was glowing like a hot plate at the end of radiation.It felt like the worst case of sunburn.I really feel for you.I found soaking in a warm salt bath very soothing but you probably can't while you need dressings.Not long to go- gentle hug.
