Hi Sue,
It is so normal to be terrified of chemo. I know I was. As I already told Lisa I am a two time triple negative survivor. When I was told I had to do chemo I was totally freaked. It is amazing though once you get started it is almost a relief. It's like you have a job to do. I was terrified of losing my hair but once I had I just got used to it. You are right , radiation seems so much easier after chemo and it was for me. When I was diagnosed with a recurrence I wondered how I could do it again. Somehow I managed. Yes there were bad days but also plenty of good ones. Everyone is different but I managed to work through some of my chemo. Anyway I want you to know that I am 5 1/2 years post first diagnosis and 4 years post recurrence. I am getting on with life.
I wish you all the best.
