Length of treatment 1 or 3 wks?
Hello, I had my initial appointment yesterday with my radiation oncologist and know I have to decide if I want my treatment to be over 1 week or 3 weeks? I had surgery 2 weeks ago -Early breast cance...
It sounds like l am going down the same path you are on at the moment. I shall start radiotherapy next week first, they said 15 treatments but, after talking with the oncologist they reverted back to the 5 days with increase dose. I was apprehensive thinking l will not get the full benefits by 5 days. Hence, l did the research America and England have been doing 5 days of treatment for awhile now with good data. But, it is a personal choice we all have do what is best for us and what we feel comfortable with. Whatever choice you make l am sure it will be the best for you. Take care all the best 🌸🌸
Collette Thank you so much. I ended up going with the 15 treatments. My sensitive skin held up really well, got a bit red and hot and only peeled a little under my breast and on the site of my lymph node biopsy after treatment had finished.
