Jaw pain?

Just wondering if anyone else has had jaw pain during treatment? I finished chemo (taxol) 6 weeks ago and I’m 3 weeks into radiation. I’ve just started getting pain and tightness in my jaw. I didn’t think it would be related to my BC treatment as it seems like an odd side effect but I just thought I’d ask if anyone else has experienced it. My neuropathy is getting worse so maybe it’s a late side effect just starting up?

  • Is it in the jaw, or the joint? The stress of recent months could be causing an issue around the joint. I've had chronic, mild issues of that type for many years.
    Take care
  • I have an appointment on Friday so I’ll ask then. It’s on the opposite side to where I’m having radiation so I’m wondering if it’s more chemo related.
  • Thanks ladies, I’ll mention it to my oncologist at my next check up.
  • BC drugs can cause jaw problems .It would wise to talk to your medical oncologist who administered the chemo .
  • I'd get that checked, Fiona. You have enough stress already but jaw pain, particularly if you a woman who's heart might be under a bit of pressure, is not to be ignored. Talk to someone who is not going to fob you off. Marg xx
  • Could you be clenching your jaw or grinding your teeth at night?
