Jaw pain?

Just wondering if anyone else has had jaw pain during treatment? I finished chemo (taxol) 6 weeks ago and I’m 3 weeks into radiation. I’ve just started getting pain and tightness in my jaw. I didn’t think it would be related to my BC treatment as it seems like an odd side effect but I just thought I’d ask if anyone else has experienced it. My neuropathy is getting worse so maybe it’s a late side effect just starting up?

Radiotherapy can cause jaw issues and dental issues , but mainly if its in the head a neck area. Is your radiotherapy above the collarbone?

It could be related to nerve pain from taxol. How long until you see your oncologist. Perhaps just a check up with your GP or even a dentist wouldn't hurt if its weeks away. Most issues are best dealt with early.

Could you be clenching your jaw or grinding your teeth at night?

I'd get that checked, Fiona. You have enough stress already but jaw pain, particularly if you a woman who's heart might be under a bit of pressure, is not to be ignored. Talk to someone who is not going to fob you off. Marg xx
