Help Looking For Oncologist

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can give me names of oncologists in the Newcastle NSW area. I currently go to the Mater Hospital but am wondering how I go about getting a second opinion? I'm not sure if I talk to the hospital would they let mr see another doctor or are oncologists in other places than hospitals? I tried googling but couldnt come up with much. Feeling frantic at the moment after told that now in lungs after being breast just 8 months ago. After declining chemo throughout this whole ordeal Im now told there really is no option. But I have heard all about things such as Gerson Therapy ( all natural foods and vitamins) but this doctor doesnt believe in any of this. This is why I need to ralk to another oncologist asap. Thanks ladies.

     Hi. my Oncologist is in Newcastle. Dr  Lombard, she is just wonderful, she is at the Breast centre at Gateshead op the private hosp. ph number for  her is  0249422600. My e-mail is [email protected] , if I can help anymore let me know?. Debbie

    Hello catcrazy,

    This is Annie from BCNA's Policy Team. I think it's a great idea to seek a second opinion; this is something I would encourage.

    You can certainly ask the hospital to refer you to another oncologist for a second opinion. You can also talk to your GP or surgeon about your situation, and they can write you a referral to see another oncologist.
