Hair Growing Back
Hi All,
I am on my last paclitaxel chemo next week and staring to look beyond the chemo bad ass.
I am just completing 8 courses of dose dense chemo - 4 xAC, 4x Paclitaxel and am wondering how long it took for others to grow their hair back. I know this is assuming it has grown back sufficiently, as some women are unlucky with hair regrowth.
Just hoping you can share you experiences of when your hair grew back enough to actually feel like you had enough to do something with and any changes in your hair regrowth from before chemo.

- Looking forward to having enough to colour!
- @JJ70 mine came back really dark with ALOT of grey in it. Looking forward to a colour if the hairdresser can do something gentle.
- @Sister yours sounds a bit like mine - a bit salt and pepper after chemo. A little too much salt for my liking (which of course is bad for you) so I went PINK! Bit of fun. It is an organic, gentle, vegetable based dye that washes out.
- Well, at least I haven't had to shave any other areas for 7 months.
- Mine is short but the cold cap caused it to grow back at an astronomical rate so at least I have that.
- Thanks everyone for starting my day off with a chuckle. I'm more the finger in the powerpoint look.I've still got a strip on top of my head that grows back twice as fast and straight up. No amount of 'product' will flatten it. Off to the barber again today for a clipper job - no. 6 on the sides and no. 5 on the top.
- I've now got coverage on almost the whole scalp but. A couple of bits where it's still a bit shiny but my hair has always grown slowly in cold weather. Now that I've clipped the fuzz short to a Number 1, what's there is is a mix of dark and white so unsure what it 's going to look like when it all comes back. But at least I don't look like a baby wedge-tail anymore!
- @Sister lol. I have actually booked in for my first haircut at the end of next month. I currently have a very butch hairstyle.
