Hair Growing Back
Hi All,
I am on my last paclitaxel chemo next week and staring to look beyond the chemo bad ass.
I am just completing 8 courses of dose dense chemo - 4 xAC, 4x Paclitaxel and am wondering how long it took for others to grow their hair back. I know this is assuming it has grown back sufficiently, as some women are unlucky with hair regrowth.
Just hoping you can share you experiences of when your hair grew back enough to actually feel like you had enough to do something with and any changes in your hair regrowth from before chemo.
Many thanks,
Jo

- Kiwi_AngelMember@kmakm even hubby said last night “shit, that’s grown a lot”. It it keeps up like this might be going for a haircut soon. Will be nice to not have to wear a wig or hat :)
- kmakmMember@"Kiwi Angel" That's interesting. My regrowth was very minimal for six weeks and then grew like wildfire. I looked bald when I went into hospital for the op, and looked like I had hair ten dsys later when I left.
- Kiwi_AngelMember@kmakm mine seems to be growing so fast - they did say that could happen with the cold cap. I’m sure it’s significantly longer that is was on Thursday. The lady garden and legs are just starting to get some prickles.
- kmakmMemberGorgeous shot @JJ70. Thought of you in the cinema during Incredibles 2 this evening. Had three hot flushes during the movie... Hat off, scarf off, coat off, sleeves up, then five minutes later the reverse!
My hair is coming through a fairly non-descript brown colour with less grey in my sideburns than before but more on top. The really soft texture has started to disappear now. Regrowth in the lady garden continues patchy... ;) - Kiwi_AngelMember@Joannie crazy!! I have long patches where the cold cap worked, bald patches, blond, grey - all over the show!!
@JJ70 love the pic - u all look so happy and love the purple. I’m trying to decide what colour I will go - it will be so nice not to wear a hat or a wig!! - JJ70MemberSteph....mine was pretty grey before I turned it purple. Thought purple was better than grey! I too felt too young to look that old.
