Hair Growing Back
Hi All,
I am on my last paclitaxel chemo next week and staring to look beyond the chemo bad ass.
I am just completing 8 courses of dose dense chemo - 4 xAC, 4x Paclitaxel and am wondering how long it took for others to grow their hair back. I know this is assuming it has grown back sufficiently, as some women are unlucky with hair regrowth.
Just hoping you can share you experiences of when your hair grew back enough to actually feel like you had enough to do something with and any changes in your hair regrowth from before chemo.
Many thanks,
Jo

- Kiwi_AngelMemberMy boss gave me a voucher for my upcoming birthday and they do threading on sideburns - maybe I should get that done as well as my eyebrow extensions. ;)
- JJ70MemberOnly with cancer, could you have so many different head gear/hair style looks in 10 months! This is for my book.....
- JJ70MemberMy latest look...especially on wake up....
- Kiwi_AngelMember@kmakm I’ll have to take a second pass with a new razor later in the week - insane!! Hopefully the sideburns do settle down!!
- kmakmMemberYES @"Kiwi Angel". I let my leg hair grow over winter to give my skin a rest (easy in Melbourne, zero need or desire for anyone to see them, not that I care :D ), and have a ceremonial shave at the beginning of spring. OMG! Brand new razor was struggling, I had to get my husband's electric clippers for the first pass... Never been like that before!
And ditto with the sideburns. @JJ70 couldn't stand them and got them threaded. @SoldierCrab said to wait and they'll settle down. I think mine are just starting to do that now. K xox - SisterMemberSaw myself in the mirror in bright light the other day - bloody chin hairs a mile long!
- Kiwi_AngelMemberI went to shave legs, armpits and nether regions this morning and just about need a weed whacker. The hair, especially on my legs has grown back really strong, dark and stubborn and does not want to be shaved - anyone else noticed this?? I have also noticed some very fine, soft, downy, blonde sideburns - I’m really hoping that resolves!!!
- Kiwi_AngelMemberI’m gonna get some eyelash extensions done at the end of this month - hopefully there are enough of my own there to stick them too.
- JJ70MemberI am missing all the inner lashes, close to the nose on the top lid of both my eyes. I realised this when the mascara brush poked me in the eye the other day :p .....my eyelashes start half way....It's a top look! Lucky it is sunny in Perth. Sunglasses baby! B)
- Kiwi_AngelMemberMy eyelashes are just starting to come back in - short stumpy things that they are. Eyebrows have come back better than they were to start - were abit thin due to overplucking.
