Hair Growing Back
Hi All,
I am on my last paclitaxel chemo next week and staring to look beyond the chemo bad ass.
I am just completing 8 courses of dose dense chemo - 4 xAC, 4x Paclitaxel and am wondering how long it took for others to grow their hair back. I know this is assuming it has grown back sufficiently, as some women are unlucky with hair regrowth.
Just hoping you can share you experiences of when your hair grew back enough to actually feel like you had enough to do something with and any changes in your hair regrowth from before chemo.
Many thanks,
Jo

- kmakmMember@JJ70 Hilarious! I have a monk's tonsure down there. It is utterly bizarre!! Does your hairdresser have a serum for that?! ;)
- duxx1234Member@JJ70 oh that does sound promising! It’s so exciting to see hair coming through but I’m trying not to get too excited as I did read somewhere on this forum where someone’s new hair fell out three weeks after finishing Taxol. Fingers crossed!
- JJ70Member@duxx1234 My hairdresser said the fluffy fuzz will get stronger and not to shave it off. She has had a couple of clients go through chemo and hair regrowth, so i suspect her opinion has merit. Here's hoping. x
On a funnier topic.......hair down there regrowth pattern is hilarious! I have pubic sideburns @kmakm !! - kmakmMemberMe too with all those thoughts @duxx1234 :)
- duxx1234MemberI’ve just had my 7th Taxol today and my hair is growing back at a great rate. Fluffy in parts and stronger in other parts. I was under the impression that once it grew to a certain length I would have to shave it off and start again. It would be great if this product was the answer. I’ll definitely go looking for it too!
- kmakmMember@JJ70 Ooh, thank you for telling me that. I'm close to buzzing it off, I don't like it at all. I'll look for Sebastian!
- Kiwi_AngelMember@JJ70 that’s good to know for when I finish and it starts growing back.
