Hair Growing Back
Hi All,
I am on my last paclitaxel chemo next week and staring to look beyond the chemo bad ass.
I am just completing 8 courses of dose dense chemo - 4 xAC, 4x Paclitaxel and am wondering how long it took for others to grow their hair back. I know this is assuming it has grown back sufficiently, as some women are unlucky with hair regrowth.
Just hoping you can share you experiences of when your hair grew back enough to actually feel like you had enough to do something with and any changes in your hair regrowth from before chemo.
Many thanks,
Jo

- JJ70MemberKate...arrh! Just noticed fuzzy hair not stopping at ears but growing diwn the sides of my face when I had backlight shining on me in the bathroom..like fluffy sideburns. OMG.....disgusting. Hoping this is temporary!! :o
- JJ70MemberNo...looks grey to me. Normal colout I always described as mouse shit brown :D
- kmakmMember@JJ70 ;) :p :*
You look so fair. Is that your normal colour? - JJ70MemberSteph, be prepared to possibly lose your lashes a couple of weeks after chemo. That is what happened to me. After my 4th and last Paxlitaxel, I was hoping I had hung onto most of mine. Then they got patchy, then they all fell out, about 3 weeks after ending chemo. Maybe yours won't......
- JJ70MemberNice locks Kate and I must be honest, I did go WOW at the cleavage even before I read your message. :#
Not sure if it is the Sebastian Potion 9 (have used it 3 times now), but my hair definitely feels more like hair, still a little softer than usual, but improving. - Kiwi_AngelMemberWow @JJ70 @kmakm looking good!!
i hwve hung in to my lashes thus far and have been able to wear mascara occasionally on the stumpy little things. Going to get some eyelash extensions after all this is over and I wait to see if they do end up falling out. - kmakmMemberYes, still soft and fluffy on top @JJ70. I was going to keep it trimmed but I'm so curious about whether I'll get curls I'm going to wait. Don't know what colour it is yet really. I think it's coming back my normal dark brown. I do know that the little patch of whites have returned in the same spot! Below a shot taken just now. You can see the cradle cap, with bonus new cleavage!
- kmakmMemberLiving large @JJ70!
- JJ70MemberSure is Kate. I even put in a new razor blade for the occasion!
