Hi All,I am on my last paclitaxel chemo next week and staring to look beyond the chemo bad ass.I am just completing 8 courses of dose dense chemo - 4 xAC, 4x Paclitaxel and am wondering how long it took for others to grow their hair back. I know this is assuming it has grown back sufficiently, as some women are unlucky with hair regrowth.Just hoping you can share you experiences of when your hair grew back enough to actually feel like you had enough to do something with and any changes in your hair regrowth from before chemo.Many thanks,Jo

My hair was growing back on taxol but not at the front. By 7 weeks I had enough to be al la natural at work. I needed a neck trim just before as had long white hairs on my neck. Mine started as white and over 18 montjs has darkned. So far my light brown hasn't returned only my dark base colour. But it keeps changing. I've recently had blonde added and my curls cut off as it was very aging. I had regular trims throughout for even growth.1st pic at 7 weeks.This was at 8 monthsat 16 months3rd as now.

Hi there,Mine fell out during Ac but started growing as soon as that stopped. It grew through Paclitaxel. It has grown much thicker at the back. Once the taxol finished it’s started to thicken up on top but my eyebrows and lashes fell out about 2 weeks ago (4 weeks since finishing).Interestingly I have no grey.Hair on my legs has grown back blond. The eyebrows were tatooed 4 days ago.the eyelashes were the most difficult to lose. X

The current state of play after a hair cut on the weekend so I’d look half respectable going back to work today. In the fun position of having hair still falling out while the new hair is starting to grow in! Oh and I have salt and pepper grey at the back with full grey on top mixed with my last dye job in June. Going to be a great look for a few months yet

All the money I will have saved on colouring and styling my hair ($180 every 6 weeks - let's say for 8-10 months in total) about $1000, has already disappeared as I have gone nuts on heaps of headscarves and a gorgeous wig. OOPS!!

Think I could pick up right now at our local Perth dyke hangouts like Connections Nightclub and The Court, you know, if someone there wasn't too fussy! How's your hair @kmakm ? You might do OK too if you head down to Sircuit this weekend.

My dad did a number 1 shave when I did. His has of course grown, mine has subsided to bum fluff!

This was teary day. Looked at myself in the mirror and just didn't recognise myself. I am sure it is a common thing. Good to cry now and then......pressure release. Usually I am still pretty upbeat and optimistic , tackling one day at a time.

My hair has always grown slowly. Unfortunately that didn't change. I had a different regime, FEC-D. I lost my last eyebrow hair around 6-8 weeks after my last chemo, around the same time I started growing a little bum fluff. Initially very much salt and pepper (the pepper was much darker than I'd ever been). Soft chemo curls at the back from around the three month mark, first trim and tidy up around 8 months, curl all gone at the second cut. I was very disappointed.
I've opted to keep mine short, it's so much easier to manage. It was back to my natural colour by a little over 12 months post chemo. I've chosen not to go back to colouring it. I have other things to spend time & money on :)

Teary or not @JJ70, that is a beautiful photograph.

I'm on TC (last one this week too). My eyelashes and eyebrows are thinning but hanging in there so far. Like you, one of my eyebrows is doing better than the other... Bonus is I haven't tidied up strays in months and there's not a sign of the chin bristles! No leg or armput shaving for ages either. Mind you, never wanted a Brazilian, but one must take the rough with the smooth... #sorrynotsorry!

Depending on how my hair comes back, I'm going to try to rock a Sinead for a while. Or Taylor on Billions. Seriously considering a head tattoo as well. It's possible the crazy arrived when the cancer did :o

Yes, there are perks! I have put my shaver away.....not required for a while I think. Losing nose airs has been particularly funny. I can't feel the runny nose sensation until it is out of my nose and on the upper lip. Just another rather hilariously undignified part of the experience! :D

I finally don't have to worry about not being able to shave under the arm on the mastectomy side! Or my legs. Best XX I've ever had (I won't say the most painless, though). Haven't shaved my legs for weeks. And at the moment, my eyebrows are still there, mostly. I really don't want to lose my eyebrows and eyelashes - going to the Look Good thing on Saturday to learn how to fool people!
