@JJ70 The average age of menopause in Australia is 51. I am 51 (until Sunday anyway!) and while definitely peri-menopausal was still chugging along when I was diagnosed. My oncologist said it was a toss up between Tamoxifen and an AI and asked me which one I wanted (ffs!)... To which I answered, you're the expert, I want the one which will give me the best chance of seeing 80. So she said as I was currently in menopaise duecto chemo, the AI was ahead by a nose. So I start Letrozole on Friday. Dreading it. On the enormously long list of side effects is increased facial hair and thinning head hair. You can't win!
