Forgot how lucky we are (If you can call having breast cancer lucky mmmm )
Well last week I took Nat into chemo and met a lovely lady who was showing us her port cath as Nat is considering getting one as the pic line is a pain to her, she was so bright and bubbly, I asked her how much longer she had to have chemo and she replied till the day I die I'm terminal for misdiagnosed bowel cancer :'( I nearly cried and so dam grateful we found Nats early.
I had to take Nat back to chemo today for her Zoladex injection and while in the waiting room an elderly man was also waiting, with tears in his eyes he needed to tell some what the docs had just said and I was there so he told me.. there is nothing we can do for you, we give you a couple of months OMG I chatted to him till we got called in and I gave him a hug before we went in and as soon as I got through the doors and promptly started blubbering... I guess because we are so lucky (if you can call it that lol) you forget about the ones that arent :'( the nurses were fantastic to me they consoled me till I could talk, Those girls must see it all, I take my hat off to them they are very special people,
Cheers Sue xxx
