you are right, we each have our own story & it can come as quite a shock when we meet poor souls whose outcomes are worse than ours. Yes it reminds us to be grateful, but even more important it teaches us the power of kindness. We can't change a poor outcome for others, but we can share with them kindness and compassion to ease their journey. So glad you were there for that poor elderly man, I bet your time and your hug meant the world to him in his time of need. Bless you, Tracey ??
