Feeling cold all the time
Anyone else feeling cold all the time after treatment?
Had surgery and radiotherapy last year & started Letrozole in June. Had a few side effects from the Letrozole - occasional hot flush, big weight gain, occasional trouble sleeping (but that could be because my brain comes up with plot ideas as I'm an author...lol), diarrhea. Continual fatigue since radiotherapy.
Anyway now it's autumn and although the temps are around 20 I'm feeling cold all the time. Rugged up, sit wrapped in a blanket, etc. I simply cannot get warm.
Never used to feel this cold until the temps were in the low single digits...lol

- WOOHOO! Found it!! No more heater!!! ;)
@Locksley - or maybe just hand wash it & leave the cord plug bit 'out' of the water? - @Locksley if you have one that you can pull off the cord you can wash it. Most have washing direction on the attached tag.
- @arpie I had to do a deep search to find mine.
- I need to wash my electric lap blanket but I don't know if they can go in the washine machine or if need to take it to the dry cleaners.
- Still looking for mine!! LOL. DUH! I've put it 'somewhere safe' ..... grrr
- Yes @Blossom1961 I've had one for years, had it stored away because I found it made me too hot mid winter pre-cancer.
But I've dragged it out now, and like you said, it's easier than a heater if you get hit with a flush...lol - @SuzyS I bought an electric lap blanket and it stayed over me until a hot flush, then I stripped it off, then I got cold and back on it went. It was better than the heater because when a hot flush hit with the heater on, I had to go outside until it finished.
- Up until a couple of months ago bare feet were 'de rigueur' for me, now I wear woollen socks and fluffy slippers all the time. Even wear socks to bed...lol. Hoodies keep my head warm but I have beanies on my knitting needles along with more socks...lol
- It's amazing how much heat we loose through our head and feet. I don't like to see little babies without hats and socks in winter.
- Yes. I totally understand I get cold quickly then put on a few more layers and find myself sweating and feeling overheated. I also have a beanie next to my bed because my head feels like an iceberg. The journey is a tough one.
