Day 4 Radiation sore and swelling
So 4 days done so far and my Frankenboob is already tender on and around the nipple and starting to swell. I was really nauseous and tired yesterday (Saturday) but today has been heaps better. I am hoping that the onset of tiredness and nausea was from my first flu shot I had a week ago and not already from the radiation or I am going to be shagged completely. I am so not used to not being up and running or riding every day and there is not a hope I will be able to run if this boob swells more. I have also been using La Roche-Posay thermal spring water and it helped to cool Franki heaps.
The only info I can find on nausea is uk or usa sites , has anyone else felt sick? I have foind kwells are helping heaps with the movement feeling but still having mild oh shit moments during it.

It started the last week of radiation. Still using nausea tabs today a week later, but have noticed the swelling is going down.

The Onc nurse and doctor are going to keep an eye on it as they said its hot and swollen but hoping its just the initial reaction to the radiation but will check it everyday to make sure not another infection inside. They are also going to give me something for the nausea if it gets worse.

Hi Lyndajma,
The information we have here on our website recommends talking to your doctor. Let us know how you go today and hopefully it settles for you soon.

Did the swelling and nausea start after finishing or during treatment? That's horrid that you couldn't eat your mums day brekky too.

I finished rads just this last Thursday and had nausea all week as well as swelling. It was so bad this morning that I couldn't really eat my mother's day breakfast. The rads unit didn't think it was from the radiation. I had nausea tablets from when I had chemo and after checking with my pharmacist I took those which have helped.
Hope you begin to feel better soon.
