I am so very happy for you that you are living life again...wowwwwwwww !!!  I cannot belive that is has been           2 1/2 months already , how time flies.  Keep up with enjyoing life and make the most of the good weather to come .

Well it;s 2 1/2 Months since my masectomy and I'm enjoying life once again.  The seroma  has settled down and I enjoyed a great 6oth Birthday.  On Wednesday, I went to the hydrotherapy pool with Friends.  Forgetting about my masectomy, I realised that I didn;t have any breasts for my swimsuit.  Well, I put my prosestics in an Ah bra and all was well and I enjoyed my time in the pool.  It's the best thing I ever did.  I had to go the Brisbane Hospital this week to have more nuclear medicine for my Kidneys and have to see the Urologist again next Month..  So all is well at present.  Love, Ruth xxx

Just when I think everything is going well, I had a fluid build up.  I am on more anti-biotics and the Doctor drained over 200ml.from the wound site.  It is so frustrating but I am very fortunate to have very good Friends who are willing to help me with shopping and getting around.  I guess this is just a minor setback and I'll be on track again.  I want to be feeeling good for my 6oth Birthday later this Month.

Not looking forward to having them so often but if  they can detect a change it is worth it.

Thanks Finita.  I have come to accept the situation as I know that it is for the best.  The problem is that I am having problems with my kidneys as well and my feet and legs  are very puffy and sore.  I am hoping and praying that it can be sorted before I have the masectomy as I will possibly have to have a stent put in, although that will be keyhole surgery.  I know that God is in control and he will work it out but at the moment waiting to be tested for Lynch Syndrome(another cancer gene), and seeing a Urologist as well as the masectomy all at the same time is a bit overwhelming.  I am just taking one day at a time and trusting in God to see me through.  I have some very good Friends and their support has been unvaluable.  I also attend a great Family Church and they are praying for me.  Sadly, as I disassociated from my Family of J.W.'s, I have no support from them but my Daughter and Grand-Children are there for me.  It is 14 years since I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I am so glad to have survived.  I was 45 at the time and couldn't wait to get to 50.  Now I am almost 60 and I so grateful to be here.  Party time coming up!!!  I have so many movies that I haven't watched and like you I am going to make a point of watching them.
