- EastmumMemberHi @Spiv1803 - definitely not the drugs making me cheery! All went totally fine. I was actually diagnosed in January and was given the all clear to wait until school hols to have my DMX so I can be back at work for term 2. Had my op yesterday and feel great! Was up and walking to the loo within 2 hours of coming up from recovery. At
the end of the day I’m too positive to be doubtful, too optimistic to be fearful, too determined to be defeated, and simply thankful that my blessings are SO much bigger than my problems.
You can definitely do this! ❤️
Wishing you all the best! - kmakmMemberYes, @Eastmum did acknowledge that that could be the case!
- kmakmMemberLol! I did momentarily think of changing my user name to @shineyginey ;)
- Spiv1803Member@onemargie my balls aren't so hairy anymore because of the chemo, but coming back!!! hhahahaahahahahahahaha. Funny fucker.
- Spiv1803Memberhahah thanks Kate.
I go in tomorrow morning at 0630. Maybe @Eastmum was on heaps of drugs, hence the cheeriness :) - kmakmMemberThinking of you today! I haven't felt particularly nervous about my surgery yet but with 19 days to go I can feel little tendrils of nervousness growing in my gut... I hope you're hanging tough today! And of course you'll be fine. I had a very cheery message overnight from @Eastmum who had surgery yesterday. We're all in this together! Do you go into hospital tonight or tomorrow morning?
Big hairy balls and ovaries of steel my dear. You've got this! Kate xox - onemargieMember@Spiv1803 that’s right I bloody am a champion lol!! No go get your big set of hairy balls out and get ready too take this shit on tomorrow with all you have. If freak the fuck out in the morning let me know and I’ll lend you mine. You’ve got this love. I know you can do it. Margie xx
- Spiv1803MemberThanks everyone and @onemargie , you're a champion :).
- kmakmMemberMy plastic surgeon has said I can drive after three weeks. However I'm not sure how he can be so accurate. Firstly there's a question of what he's going to find on my compromised right abdomen, which will dictate whether it's a partial TRAM or not. And then wouldn't it depend on how I heal?
While he verbally stated three weeks the paperwork he's given me says six weeks. Is this to cover him if I have an accident before then??
Cynical much?!
