Bilateral mastectomy with lat dorsi reconstruction

My plastic surgeon has said I can drive after three weeks. However I'm not sure how he can be so accurate. Firstly there's a question of what he's going to find on my compromised right abdomen, which will dictate whether it's a partial TRAM or not. And then wouldn't it depend on how I heal?

While he verbally stated three weeks the paperwork he's given me says six weeks. Is this to cover him if I have an accident before then??
