We need to find a cure

I myself have never been diagnosed with breast cancer, however I do have a strong family history, my mother was recently diagnosed and successfully treated.  My Nanna and two of my great aunties has also had breast cancer.  I have three young children, all of who are girls.  It is important to me to be involved in this organisation as breast cancer effects me deeply, by myself I cannot make big changes however every small contribution could help.

  • Thank you for joining us, we know that going through breast cancer (or any kind of Cancer) not only affects the person going through it, but also family and friends, and that is what this site is about, supporting anyone affected by breast cancer, so having been that person, i am sure you will be able to help others, there is no right or wrong way to react in these situations, and thats why sites like this are so good, we can scream, vent, or just chat, and by helping ourselves we can help others going through the journey, so please keep up the good work here. Regards Moira

  • Welcome and thanks for joining BCNA, behind every breast cancer woman there is a family. I thank my parents, children, husband and neighbours for all the help and support through my journey and many times they commented that they didnt know how to help or felt usless. Just knowing they were there made my life so much easier, so thanks for being a carer, without loved ones like you our days would be that bit harder.

BCNA have a great flyer- how to help a friend or colleague with cancer if you havent seen it, or cant find it let me know and I will send you some, (I facilitate a support group in WA) if your daughter works it may help just putting some on the work place coffee table.

Keep in touch, and give yourself a hug, you may feel like your not making a difference but just being here shows us that you really are,   XXX  Kaz
