Metastatic bone disease

I was diagnosed with metastatic BC almost 3years ago. I have received Intravenous doses of Zometa for about 2 & 1/2 years with very good results. Fortunately I have had no further spread of the disease & no organ involvement. I have now been advised by my oncologist that continued treatment by Zometa will greatly increase my risks of osteonecrosis of the jaw. I was wondering if I could hear from any others on the same drug, how long you've been on it and whether you have experienced any issues with it. Many thanks CathyS
