Can you feel if you have mets?

So I went to see my GP as I've had pain around my chest and arm and can't stretch it that started out of nowhere (I finished radiation in November) and while I was there I told her that I have had bone aches that come and go in my left shin and my back. As my cancer was an easy one, cut out, then radiation (although it was invasive the lymph nodes were clear) she thinks it'll be fine. She knocked up and down my spine with her fist and then my shin and said that if it was mets I'd be screaming in pain. Is that true? Even if it's just starting and only small?
BTW the pain in my chest that some people on this chat suggested could be cording, she's convinced is a muscle tear and I'm having an ultrasound today. I can use my arm perfectly ok, it only hurts when I stretch it back. She never mentioned cording. Should I just not bother seeing a GP at all? I'm hoping the US can show if its cording and I can fix it.

If it will put your mind at ease perhaps you could ask for a bone scan?

When I was first diagnosed 3 yrs ago the bone scan even picked up arthritis in my right thumb which I didn't know I had. Too much surfing the internet with a mouse. ;)

@MezDiaz. I have extensive bone mets. I have never had any pain but I have monthly Xgeva injections. That, of course, is not to say that someone else may have bone pain with mets. Many people do.
Please have a bone scan to put your mind at rest.

I have numerous bone mets.,first diagnosed in 2012. At first I had serve back pain which I tried to ignore, thinking it was from picking up my young grand children, but the pain got worse. When I was riding in our car and we hit just a small bump the pain was so severe it made me go and see my GP pretty quick. I had xrays followed by a bone scan and found out there were bone mets. In my spine and the severe pain was because it was compressing my spinal cord. My specialist said If I had left it much longer, I could have been paralyzed . So I think its a good idea to get any pain checked out and not leave it too late, just for peace of mind.

I have bone mets , the pain is not on the spot where the mets is but radiates from down my hip and leg, and also down my lower back and tailbone.

A bone scan should give you peace of mind.

Touchwood I don't have mets. Just saying pain doesn't necessarily mean mets.
My dad has mets pretty much everywhere bone wise including his skull but what gives him the most pain is in ribs and back. Probably as sitting or walking adds stress to those areas. Every so often pain gets a bit much and he has a few sessions of radiation to settle it down.
