i have had enough
only into my secodne week of radiation therapy, as the radiologist said im a beginner, i was told it would be 5 weeks of it but possibly more. and that contact type stuff they use just comes off . I its a long trip by mini bus to the rbh and back specially with spinal /hip /shoulder issues . my issues read like a shopping list. anyway, now the NDIS my daughter and I both qualify but i just cant deal with it , meanwhile niether of us get any help and daughter continues to do nothing. I was talking about needing transport to medical appointments etc and ozcare and centacare both said they couldnt do it god only knows why. I am worn out /burned out and I hurt that bus trip is agony, and to top it off this last weeked i spent battling the flu I darent ask what is gonna go wrong next
Oncology in the bush.
so I have completed the axillary clearence and hopefully will get the drain out tomorrow. The oncology dept just rang and I have my first appointment at Orange base with Dr Lauren Bradbury on the 5/03/19. I will be signed off from the surgeon the previous week. The kilometres are bad. The driving stressful. I will be glad when treatment gets sent to Parkes. I would like to ask what I should expect at this first appointment ?

Hi , was just wanting some guidance on what happens next as I keep forgetting to ask when at appointments. So I was diagnosed with triple negative back in jan 2018 had a lumpectomy with clear margins and clear lymph nodes have had 4 lots of AC and now upto week 5 if my 12 week paclitaxel and once that is finished will have radiation but what I want to know is when that is all finished will I have more scans etc to make sure that all the nasties have definitely gone . Responding to my diagnosis while living in remote outback South Australia
Just over 4 weeks ago I was diagnosed with breast cancer. I am off to have surgery next week so I am trying to get my head around it all. I live in the remote outback town of Andamooka. My hubby has bipolar and will not cope going to the city so he will be staying home. I will be almost 700kms from home. There is a plane that flys out of Olympic Dam but I will not always be able to catch it. It is mainly for BHP staff and they only have a few community places. So what I want to know is has anyone accessed Angel flight? I realise it is early days but trying to work things out.
