Its been a while
Its been a while since I posted. Since my first post, I've completed my 2 months of AC, then had a little health blip with fevers and an infection that the medical staff couldn't find in my body, then I had a frightening Supraventricular Tachicardia event, thankfully whilst I was in hospital where basically my heart decided that the heart rate should not go below 200! Turns out my lungs hadn't responded very well to the AC treatments after all! On the Oncologists advice, the weekly Paclitaxel treatments was suspended for a couple of weeks but now I am back on treatments, my mouth has flared up with ulcers and is majorly sore. Sucking on lozenges and rinsing with an Anaesthetic mouth wash is tedious, but we do what we have to do right? The most annoying thing I am finding is that my vision seems to have changed in the 4 months since I started this journey. I struggle to be able to read things for a long period of time. I'm hoping that once I am through the chemo that my vision may(?) return to normal? Anyway, onward and upward :#61Views1like4CommentsYummy mushy foods- do they exist?
Hi All, I’ve just finished my last round of dose dense AC and gearing up for next 4rounds of Taxol. I already have one Mouth ulcer that I just can’t budge, no amount of salt water, Kenalog and dental hygiene is healing it. Does anyone have any yummy or at least strong tasting, foods / recipes that they have found are easier to eat with a mouth ulcer? Thanks in advance 😊😊121Views0likes6CommentsMouth ulcers post treatment
I was wondering if anyone else has issues with mouth ulcers post chemo? I finished chemo 12 months ago but still get a sore tongue regularly and mouth ulcers. Also oral thrush is hard to get rid of. I’ve had lots of courses of anti fungal tablets. Very annoying! I eat well, drink loads of water and exercise. I never had a problem before the chemo.71Views0likes4CommentsChemo and mouth ulcers. Any cures????
Hi. I'm about to have my 3rd round of FEC chemo on Thursday. I've coped with most of the side effects but am now suffering from very painful and relentless mouth ulcers. Despite regular sodium bicarbonate and biotene mouth washes, they have hung around about 8 days and showing no sign of healing. Does anyone have any tips or miracle cures.....1View0likes6CommentsSecondary to Liver
Hi there, I have breast cancer which has now gone to my liver. I had it under control but my last CT showed the tumours have all grown back and quite large. I have been put on Everolimus and Exemestane (probably not spelt properly) but can't up my dose as I keep getting mouth ulcers. This is the last tablet they have for me before chemo again and I really don't want to go back there! I have been dropped to a 5mg tablet once every second day and have been on it a week and so far no mouth ulcers so fingers crossed I might be able to stay on this dose. Is there anyone else who also has secondary in the liver or on the same tablet? I'm just wondering how other people are finding their response to Everolimus/Exemestane. xo
