- Blossom1961MemberThe salt water didn't work for me. I had horrendous ulcers on my tongue but they weren't thrush. I found a mouthful of aloe vera juice swished around worked wonders, twice a day. I spat mine out but it is drinkable.

- Blossom1961MemberKeep us posted on how you go. I still use the aloe on and off as the taxel occasionally flairs up the tongue sores. Whilst on the AC I had to use the aloe regularly.
- Brenda5MemberI take 3 lots of pills every morning and there is one sort which if I leave them on my tongue while I mess around filling a glass of water to wash them down will give me ulcers on my tongue. Best to always have the water handy before putting the pills in.
Someone told me pineapple was supposed to be good for ulcers and sore throats. I had some pineapple juice last night and my tongue actually does feel less sore today. - kmakmMemberPineapple enzyme: Bromelain!
- lrb_03MemberI was advised to rinse my mouth and gargle with a weak bicarb and water solution. Not sure if I was just lucky or if this kept mouth sores and ulcers at bay. I think it was 1/2 teaspoon to 1 cup of water, made a fresh supply each day, with cooled boiled water
- wren71MemberThank you @Irb_03 I’ve been told that too. Not sure what it does but it seems to help me too. I’ve also used SM-33 which I found in our cupboard after posting. I’ll purchase the other items people have recommended when at the chemist next. X
