Menopause and supplements
Hi everyone I’m needing some words of advice and I’m now having a slight panic attack, 5months ago I started ribociclib and before then and still on anastrozole from Oct. but since being on ribociclib I’ve gone into medical induced menopause, I spoke to my gp and told him about the hot sweats mainly and lack of sleep so he said to get a supplement with chaste tree in it. So I found one and it has been working really good but now I’m afraid the work is undone if I shouldn’t be taking them, my oncologist scares me and I to afraid to tell him but I’m sure I mentioned it to his assistant and I think she said it was ok, I’m so overwhelmed and scared can anyone advise but I think I know the answer and I’m guessing I need to speak to him!85Views0likes2CommentsPost-treatment fatigue - feeling discouraged and frustrated
Hi there lovely people. I finished chemo in Sept '25 and radiation in Oct '25 (so about 7 months ago), and I'm on tamoxifen. I am still really struggling with fatigue and having to pace and limit myself. It's really frustrating. I'm trying to do all the right things: eating well, exercising, doing yoga, seeing friends. I'm on a gradual return to work program, currently doing 3 days a week at 6 hours a day. I started my return to work in March. I was thinking I might be ready to increase my hours in the next couple of weeks.....but then last week I was completely wiped out (as in, had to come home and go straight to bed on Friday), and then I was also wiped out by my weekend exercising and socialising (by no means an extreme level of activity). I'm feeling really sad and discouraged that I'm still struggling so much. I'm being kind to myself but I just want to get on with life and I feel like I'm being let down again by my body. How long will this last? Apparently some people's fatigue can last years! Does anyone have some words of wisdom or encouragement for me?191Views0likes4Comments🌸Talk Perimenopause & Beyond with the Menopause Warrior

Hi all, Absolutely hating this journey to be honest. Single mum of two auDhd teens. It’s been hell. I’m angry and don’t feel I’ve accepted any part of this. I’m just recovering from double mastectomy and now waiting to see if I need chemo/herceptin. Waiting waiting forever waiting. That’s one of the worst parts. Anyway, just wondering if any of you know any good online nutritional medicine/naturopaths etc who use good evidence based practice to help me navigate through this **bleep** show? I start ovarian suppression and AIs next week, before going back for more surgery because my nipple is now on the banned list 🙄 Many thanks and all the love in the world to you all xxxxx143Views0likes3CommentsInteresting video explaining removal of Fallopian TUBES rather than ovaries
Channel 7 News has just shown this clip on reducing the chance of Ovarian Cancer by up to 80% - by removing the Fallopian TUBES rather than the actual ovaries. It may be suggested if a woman is already undergoing other abdominal surgery, eg weight loss surgery. (It is not usually done as a standalone surgery - tho TBH, I am not sure why, as they already do Ovary removal as a standalone procedure.) It does not bring on Menopause! Check it out! If there is Ovarian Cancer in your family history - maybe discuss it with your GP/Specialists/Surgeon? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mJIDJ9yfJJI53Views0likes0CommentsThe Whole Person - the 'other' effects of breast cancer
When people hear "breast cancer", they often think of treatment plans and hospital visits. But the impact also shows up in the quieter, more personal corners of life that don’t get talked about as much. It’s the emotional exhaustion of trying to hold everything together. It’s the financial responsibilities of time off work, extra appointments, and unexpected bills. It’s the shift in identity, with pressure to keep up with your job, your family, and your own expectations. It’s the silence around intimacy, menopause, and how your body starts to change unexpectedly. Hi there. Just this week had my DCIS diagnosis and am reeling - totally out the blue. All moving very fast so wanted to ask the community about HRT. I have been told to just stop it immediately. Im peri and been on it 18 months or so. Really concerned all my symptoms will just come back. Can anyone give any advice or perspective if they have had to do this and what has happened to them?330Views1like4CommentsHormone Replacement Therapy?
Hi all — I’ve been reading a recent research- esp. from the US, including the book Estrogen Matters, which questions the idea that women with breast cancer should automatically avoid Hormone Replacement Therapy (HRT), and how it can help with longevity etc. I’m planning to speak with my doctor about it, but I’m curious — has anyone here looked into this or discussed HRT after breast cancer with their team? Would love to hear your experiences or any studies/resources you found helpful.524Views3likes8Comments
