  • Hi Owly, I’m keen to reply to your latest post “the choice to walk away from AIs…….some women are” but I can’t find it anywhere.

In your post you raise the important subject of Dying with Dignity and while we with BC all wish to recover, this is nonetheless an important concern for many of us who seek a dignified end.

In your post Owly, you contrast the rights of animals to have euthanasia as opposed to we humans whose rights are much more limited and therefore we often have to suffer. At least in Australia, and more so in Victoria, where the laws fall short of all other Australian States. A Bill to give Victorians equal access to other States has just passed the lower house in Victoria and is currently headed to the Senate. Fingers crossed it is passed which will improve things a bit for those of us who may not be able to afford the Switzerland option.

This is a super important subject and I’m not sure where your post has gone. Can you help me find it?

  • I came off cold turkey too. It wasn't as bad as i expected. I was 61, so maybe had got further through menopause. But since starting Aromatase Inhibitors, I have hot flushes again. some weeks are better than others. There  are a few drug options if you are going down that path. Not everything works  for everyone. I have continued throughout with vaginal estrogen. This isn't recommended for everyone, but there was a discussion with my Gynecologist, Breast Surgeon and Oncologist and me. Our vaginas can get dry and fragile with age and AI drugs. I don't know if this helps. Are you having any other treatment for your BC?
