Hi , Think the problem has been I’m out of Town ... My Chemotherapy nurse contacted them for me , but never heard back ... i wasn’t even able to get a seat on bus for Radation , so went private with that too ... I’m seeing another Professor now for intense bone pain ( blood markers came back showing possible bone Cancer ) but scan showed not active ..So unfortunately at $425 a visit no HBF ,its just a ongoing nightmare . Free of charge , well hasn’t come my way yet ... That said I did attend a make up sessions when I lost hair , etc It was brilliant... Will have a look and see If there’s anything I could travel to Thank you x

Just reading all your comments regarding lack of feeling etc in Breast area ..I’m still experiencing the same thing ..But what is leaving me in awe , is talk of Breast Physio etc ..I have private health & have never been offered, suggested or recommended what seems to be the norm ...I’m shaking what little hair I have .... Im feeling like a one man band at the moment ....In the wrong state I think .lol

I have struggled here in WA to find support , Diagnosed in 2016 still waiting on the return call from a Breast care nurse ...Sadly there are so many of us being diagnosed everyday ....I was a Cancer Volunteer years back , and it was overwhelming then ... But have muddled my way through ,surgery ,chemo ,rads ... The blessing for me was this site in 2017 ... I have just found an amazing Cancer massage therapist,so helping with bone pain ....

I haven’t been on site for ages ...Surgery , Chemo , Radiation & now looking like Rheumatoid Arthritis ...Have been in a quiet space to survive .....But realised how much easier life is , when shared with friends ...I have smiled this morning , I don’t have a Friday jake yet , but will be back next week lol .....Thank you . Xx

Hi ,I tried desperately here in WA to get Mepital prior to my Radiation..I knew my skin type wasn’t going to handle 8 weeks of daily Rads ..I even offered to buy it myself from interstate ...Well not offered ,or available here ..And not enough nurses to apply it ..I ended up in hospital with my burns & infection , temp 39 ( so much for private health) i would rather had another round of Chemo ..

Thanks Kath , just noticed I put question under wrong heading oops ..There is so much heat coming from my breast & it is dotted ( red spots ) joys of chemo xx

I was diagnosed December 2016 with stage 3+ breast Cancer , ( some of you may remember I discovered my 50 mm due to heat in breast ) Tumour removed plus 16 nodes , now just a few more weekly chemotherapy to go prior to radiation... However for weeks have been experiencing pain in the same breast , which they prescribed anti inflammatory meds for . But the pain worsened, as did the heat from the breast .. Oncologist sent me for ultrasound concerned cancer may have returned ... It does appear however to be nerve damage , thickening under breast , discolouration.. Consistently of radiation treatment already given ( Doctor feedback at radiology) I have my next chemo this week and my head really worried about pending radiation , ( they don't offer the protective film here ) consequences of nerve damage .. What long term effect does they have on me ?? Have had no contact from anyone since ultrasound.. Michellebella
